Our Story
The story behind The Cape Islander’s name is as special as the home itself. As a child, the host spent summers on the East Coast, often aboard his uncle’s lobster boat—a traditional “Cape Islander.” Those days spent at sea, surrounded by salt air and ocean views, inspired a lifelong love for the water. Naming the cottage after that boat honours both those cherished memories and the enduring charm of maritime life. The home now stands as a place where guests can create their own oceanfront memories—ones filled with warmth, simplicity, and the timeless joy of summer by the sea.

The main cottage sleeps up to six guests across three comfortable bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The primary bedroom offers a peaceful retreat with elegant finishes and a luxurious king-sized bed designed for deep rest after a day at the beach. The second and third bedrooms each feature cozy queen beds, creating inviting spaces for family or friends. Every room has been tastefully decorated to reflect the relaxed, refined feel of a true island getaway. For larger groups or families traveling together, an additional bunkhouse expands the property’s charm and flexibility. This newly renovated space is fully insulated and equipped with both heat and air conditioning, allowing for comfort in any season.
